Juneau County boasts the honor of having the original "Rails To Trails" bike trail in the nation! The Elroy-Sparta State Trail was the very first section of antiquated railroad to be converted to a state bicycling trail. This 34 mile section connects to the 400 State Trail and the La Crosse River State Trail at either end in Elroy and Sparta, respectively.
