Castle Rock County Park
Camping reservations can be made by calling 608-847-7089 (summer), or 608-847-9389 year-round. Castle Rock Park has over 300 campsite on 160 acres. It is located on Highway G about 7 miles from Mauston, WI on beautiful Castle Rock Lake. Amenities at the park include tent, trailer & RV sites, showers, flush toilets, water, playgrounds, picnic tables, swimming beach, park officer, boating and boat access, fishing water skiing, canoeing, grills, shelter, electricity and concessions. |
Wilderness County Park
Camping reservations can be made by calling 608-565-7285 (summer), or 608-847-9389 year-round. Wilderness Park has over 80 sites on 100 acres. It is located in Armenia Township, and the address is 3650 21st Avenue, Necedah WI on Petenwell Lake. Amenities at the park include tent, trailer & RV sites, showers, flush toilets, water, playgrounds, picnic tables, swimming beach, park officer, boating and boat access, fishing water skiing, canoeing, grills, shelter, scenic trails, electricity and concessions. |

Juneau County is home to Beautiful Buckhorn State Park located on Castle Rock Lake. Buckhorn State Park is a paradise for water enthusiasts, hunters, hikers, campers, and nature lovers. The park and two adjacent state wildlife areas cover more than 8,000-acres on a peninsula in the Castle Rock Flowage of the Wisconsin River and along the connecting Yellow River. Family and group campsites, unique cart-in camping, a cabin for people with disabilities, canoe trail, and an accessible fishing pier, are all available at Buckhorn State Park.
