Necedah is a friendly village nestled among majestic rock formations, natural bluffs and pine trees. It is located near Petenwell Lake, Castle Rock Lake, and the Wisconsin and Yellow Rivers. The Necedah National Wildlife Refuge and Buckhorn State Park are close by, and many bike trails are within minutes.
The Necedah National Wildlife Refuge offers a 'back to nature' experience.  Necedah is the home to the annual “Whooping Crane Festival”, which brings people from all over the world to the small village for a chance to get a look at the endangered species.  They truly are a magnificent bird!  Click on the below picture to take you to the Whooping Crane Fesival Festival site!

Current Development Initiatives
Necedah takes a proactive and assertive approach toward economic development. Municipal financial assistance through active grant and loan programs often provides aid to both industrial and commercial developers. Through newly established downtown and industrial park TIF districts, Necedah furnishes innovative assistance for business development and retention. Necedah is located in a HUB Zone, as well as a Development Zone and is eligible for tax credits.
