Camp Douglas, nestled among the rugged peaks of natural rock formations and the beautiful terrain of the area, is the western gateway to Juneau County and the home of Volk Field and Camp Williams Military facilities. The friendly village has an atmosphere of mutual caring and concern that shows in their providing a recreation center for all age groups.  The village boasts several tourist attractions, excellent restaurants, hunting, fishing, biking, and hiking.  Population is 562.   Bluff near Camp Douglas
The Wisconsin National Guard Museum is located at historic Volk Field - Camp Williams, near the village of Camp Douglas and offers many exhibits and historical artifacts.  Shown below are just a few examples from the museum.

Hardwood Air-to-Ground Weapons Range
Hardwood Air-to-Ground Weapons Range (R-6904), near Finley, WI., is one of fifteen Air National Guard (ANG) ranges located throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. The entire facility is under the operational control of the Air National Guard as part of the Combat Readiness Training Center, Volk Field ANG Base, WI. The mission of Hardwood Range is to provide training for combat aircrews, through presentation of a variety of realistic target arrays, for air-to-ground weapons delivery.

National Guard Museum Camp Douglas Industrial Park
A ten acre zoned site is available for light or heavy industry. 
Water and sewer serviced by the Village.  Several trucking companies serve Camp Douglas, which is situated on I-90/94 and US 12/16.  The Soo Line Railroad is adjacent to the industrial park and serves Camp Douglas.  Call Camp Douglas Village Hall for more information on available space. 608-427-3355.

A village president and six trustees govern Camp Douglas. A 27 member volunteer
