WATERFEST VENETIAN LIGHTS BOAT PARADE

The 9th Annual Touchstone Energy Waterfest Venetian Lights Boat Parade, Saturday August 2nd. Got a boat? Decorate it and enter the parade! The parade starts out from the bay at Dirty Turtle and will travel south along the Juneau County shoreline at sunset. A Dazzeling firework display will be set off at Castle Rock County Park to herald the end of the splendid evening voyage. If you just plan on being a spectator, be sure to come early and get a front row seat at the Castle Rock County Park, there will be kid's games, Smokey the bear, a lite your site contest for campers at the park, and much more. The businesses on the lake will be offering Waterfest specials and live music that evening. Make a day of it... hit the Mauston Sidewalk Sales and Citywide Garage Sales then head out to the lake! Friends & Family Cancer Foundation Fundraiser

Description: The Friends & Family Cancer Foundation is committed to assisting YOUR friends and family in Juneau, Sauk and Adams Counties with the costs associated with living with cancer. When this disease strikes, many families suffer financially when one is no longer able to work full-time. Dollars raised are used for such items as gas cards to get patients to treatment and doctor appointments; certificates to help put food on the table; and help with the cost of heating homes. The board of directors, lawyer and accountant are all volunteer and accept no payment for their work. 100% of Funds raised STAYS in the three county area. Start off the Labor Day weekend in Lyndon Station by enjoying a Kickball Tournament Friday night at the park. Food and drinks will be available. The event continues into Saturday with a Pancake Breakfast in the morning along with a visit from Smoky Bear followed by local singers and musicians and a live band. Raffles, door prizes, food and drinks are available. Take part in the heart warming balloon release in memory and honor of those you love who have been affected by cancer.
