LYNXX Waterfest 2020 "diluted" will look different than usual. We've watered it down as we strive to protect the public safety amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
There will be a fireworks show & Lighted Boat Display! However all park festivities and the boaters awards brunch have been cancelled.
Fireworks will be launched from a barge in O'Dell's Bay on Castle Rock Lake (near the Dirty Turtle rEstaurant Bar Marina) after dusk on saturday August 1.
We invite you to decorate your boat and join us! no official boat parade, no judging, no prizes... just lights and fun on the lake! And whether you decorate or not, you can watch the fireworks show from your boat or along the Juneau County shoreline between the Dirty Turtle and the Castle Rock County Park.

Waterfest is one of the biggest weekends of the year here in the Castle Rock Lake area! The following is a description of a typical event year:
The first Saturday every August hosts a full day of fun-filled family activities at the Castle Rock County Park, typically including a 5K Walk/Run, Bike Parade, Historic 40et8 Train Rides, Food Vendors, Live Music, Light Your Campsite Contest, Super Hero Visitors, plus all the usual campground activities of hiking, swimming, and lounging on the beach.
At dusk (approximately 8:30pm) the LYNXX Venetian Lights Boat Parade departs from the Dirty Turtle Restaurant & Marina at O'Dell's Bay on Castle Rock Lake. This string of lighted and theme decorated boats meander the shoreline all the way to Castle Rock Park, showing off their original designs the entire way as crowds on shore cheer them on.
Event Sponsors and volunteers receive tickets to board the cruisin Turtle boat and enjoy a dinner cruise as they lead the boat parade from the dirty turtle to castle rock county park. there usually are additional seats available to the public, and tickets are sold on a first-come-first-served basis.
Once the boat parade reaches Castle Rock Park (around 9:45pm), the spectacular fireworks show begins! People enjoy the display from the park, the shorelines, and even from their boats in the harbor. Its a climactic ending to a fabulous day!
